Access to Work (UK): Support for Coaching
Oak & River is committed to making coaching accessible and sustainable for individuals and organisations.
Some clients may be eligible to receive funding or financial support for coaching through the UK government’s Access to Work scheme.
For individuals
Access to Work is a government programme designed to support people who have a disability, long-term health condition, or neurodivergence that affects their work.
Depending on individual circumstances, the scheme may contribute toward the cost of:
professional or workplace coaching
support with focus, organisation, confidence, communication, or transitions
strategies for managing workload, energy, or burnout
Clients usually apply directly, and funding decisions are made by Access to Work.
I’m happy to:
confirm whether my coaching services meet typical Access to Work criteria (they do)
provide quotes or documentation if requested
support you in thinking through how coaching might help you at work
For employers
Employers may also be involved in Access to Work-funded support, particularly where coaching is recommended to help an employee:
remain in work
return after illness or leave
perform effectively and sustainably
manage transitions, workload, or neurodivergent needs
Oak & River offers professional coaching that is:
strengths-based and trauma-informed
practical and reflective
aligned with workplace realities and organisational values
Where appropriate, I can collaborate with individuals, managers, and organisations to ensure coaching goals are clear and supportive of both wellbeing and performance.
A gentle note
Access to Work eligibility and funding decisions are made by the UK government, and support is not guaranteed. I aim to be transparent, supportive, and realistic throughout the process.
If you’re unsure whether Access to Work might apply to you or your organisation, you’re very welcome to get in touch and we can explore it together.
