BEYOND BEHAVIOUR
Understanding Brain Health, Executive Function, Communication & Environment
Wednesday 5 August 2026 | 11:00am–1:00pm
Kippington Centre, Sevenoaks, Kent
What if the behaviours we see are only part of the story?
Parents, educators, coaches, therapists, and healthcare professionals are often faced with challenges that can seem difficult to understand. Emotional outbursts, anxiety, school avoidance, executive-function difficulties, communication breakdowns, attention differences, learning challenges, and family stress can leave us searching for answers.
Beyond Behaviour is a one-day immersive learning experience designed to help you understand the hidden factors shaping wellbeing, learning, relationships, communication, and performance.
Bringing together leading specialists from the United States and United Kingdom, this event explores how brain health, executive function, communication, and environment interact to influence how we think, learn, connect, regulate emotions, and thrive.
Throughout the day, you will gain both scientific understanding and practical strategies that can be applied immediately at home, in schools, in clinical settings, and in the workplace.

🌿 Back to School Begins With You:
Preparing Yourself Before Preparing Everyone Else
Introducing the Oak & River × Cups & Pups Afternoon Experience Series
Saturday 29 August | 2:00–3:30pm
Cups & Pups, Sevenoaks
£40 per person
I’m so excited to announce a brand-new partnership!
I’m delighted to be partnering with Cups & Pups to launch a new series of Oak & River Afternoon Experiences, a collection of thoughtful, practical events designed to help individuals and families flourish through the power of environment.
This is the first of many experiences we’ll be creating together, bringing together Oak & River’s Environment Redesign methodology with the warm, welcoming atmosphere of Cups & Pups.
I truly can’t imagine a more fitting place to begin.
Before the school year begins…
The uniforms are washed.
The lunchboxes are packed.
The school shoes are ready.
The calendars are filling up.
Everything seems prepared.
But in the middle of getting everyone else ready…
Who prepares you?
As parents, we spend so much time making sure our children are ready for a new school year that we rarely stop to ask whether we are ready too.
Not practically.
Emotionally.
Mentally.
Environmentally.
What if the biggest difference this September isn’t a new planner…
…but a new environment?
At Oak & River, we believe our environments quietly shape how we think, feel, communicate and flourish.
Rather than trying to change ourselves through willpower alone, we explore how small, intentional changes to our environments can transform everyday experiences for the whole family.
This evening isn’t about becoming the perfect parent.
It isn’t about adding more to your already full to-do list.
It’s about beginning the school year feeling calmer, more connected and better supported.
During the evening you’ll enjoy
☕ Coffee and connection
🐾 Time with the pups
🌿 Guided reflection
💛 Practical strategies you’ll use the very next day
📖 An exclusive Oak & River reflection worksheet to take home
Together, we’ll explore simple yet powerful ways to create calmer mornings, smoother transitions and a more connected family life before September begins.
You’ll leave with
✓ A fresh perspective on why some parts of family life feel harder than they need to.
✓ A personalised environmental redesign to begin implementing at home.
✓ One meaningful commitment to yourself for the new school year.
✓ One important conversation to have with your family.
Who is this for?
This evening is for any parent or carer who wants to begin the new school year with greater calm, confidence and intention.
Whether your child is starting school for the first time, moving into a new year group, beginning secondary school or simply facing another September, you’ll leave with practical ideas that can be adapted to your own family.
No prior knowledge is needed.
Just come exactly as you are.
Why Cups & Pups?
One of the things I loved most when I first met Sarah was her observation that the pups help people feel calmer, more comfortable and more open. That simple observation perfectly reflects everything Oak & River stands for.
Our environments are never neutral.
They quietly shape our emotions, our relationships and our ability to thrive. Before this evening even begins, the environment at Cups & Pups is already helping to create the very experience we’ll be exploring together. That’s what makes this partnership feel so special.
This is just the beginning…
Back to School Begins With You is the first event in a brand-new series of Oak & River × Cups & Pups Afternoon Experiences.
Over the coming months we’ll continue exploring themes including:
• Home Shouldn’t Feel Like Hard Work
• The Calm Parent
• Raising Neurodivergent Children Without Losing Yourself
• The Invisible Mental Load
• Why We Keep Arguing
Together, we’re creating a community where people don’t simply attend workshops, they experience environments intentionally designed to help them flourish.
Spaces are limited
To keep the evening relaxed, conversational and personal, places are limited to 20 guests.
I’d love for you to join us as we launch this exciting new partnership and become part of the very first Oak & River × Cups & Pups Afternoon Experience.
Reserve your place today and prepare yourself before preparing everyone else.
In the meantime, check out my new partner’s website! It’s Cups & Pups is amazing!!! https://www.cupsandpups.co.uk/
Many of us spend years trying to improve our well-being, productivity, relationships, confidence, parenting, leadership, or sense of balance. Yet often, the challenge is not a lack of effort, motivation, or capability.
Sometimes what needs redesigning is not the person, but the environment around them.
In this interactive workshop, Dr. Victoria Elasic introduces the Oak & River Environment Redesign Framework using the Oak & River Compass, a practical and thought-provoking approach that helps participants identify the hidden environmental factors influencing how they think, feel, connect, work, and flourish not only for themselves, but also for our children at home and employees at work.
Together, we will explore how our physical spaces, routines, expectations, relationships, communication patterns, sensory experiences, and daily systems can either support or hinder wellbeing and performance.
Through guided reflection, discussion, and practical exercises, you will learn to:
• Recognize the often invisible environmental influences shaping your daily life
• Understand why change can feel difficult even when motivation is high
• Identify areas of friction, overwhelm, or misalignment within your current environment
• Discover small, meaningful adjustments that can create significant positive impact
• Leave with practical ideas you can immediately apply at home, at work, or within your family
This workshop is suitable for adults from all backgrounds, including parents, educators, professionals, leaders, caregivers, and anyone interested in creating more supportive environments for themselves and others.
You will leave with a new perspective, practical tools, and a deeper understanding of how intentional environment design can support greater clarity, well-being, connection, and human flourishing.
Location: Kippington Centre (St. Mary’s), Sevenoaks
Duration: 60 minutes
Investment: £40 per person
Next Offering: 19 September, 2026 3-4 pm
